If you ever had the opportunity in 2020 to try the vegan pop-up at Hunan Harmony, the Pop-up Vegan menu from Hunan of Ardmore, it was my first venture into offering vegan and gluten-free Asian dishes to the public, so you’re no stranger to my offerings. I am so excited to offer dumplings all over the Bucks County, Philadelphia and all over the country. I am so excited that my dumplings will also be available at retail locations in the coming months.

My daughter Nari was born with many severe food allergies including gluten, dairy, beef, pork and nuts. Eighteen years ago, her allergies are what pushed me into an entirely new direction with my cooking. I grew up with various allergies of my own so I understand the challenges of trying to find comfort foods minus the allergens. Nari is now 18 and ready to go off to college on the other side of the country. She has been eating my dumplings and my other cooking her entire life, so I worry about her finding foods in California she enjoys eating. She is, after all, my original dumpling.

I was born on a very remote island called Hongdo in South Korea, and then lived in an orphanage until I was adopted to the US when I was 4 years old. I grew up in Doylestown, Pa where my parents built their first home and have remained. My great-grandmother (My mother’s grandmother) was my Bubby who came to the U.S.A. from the Ukraine. My Bubby gets full credit for teaching me how to cook, and driving my passion for making great homemade meals from scratch.

I will always try to accommodate all dietary requests you send in, so don’t be shy about asking for customization. You deserve it! Feel free to write me. I’m here making dumplings for you that are delicious & fun!

Thanks again and stay healthy!
